Livestock Production Management

Salient features about the department:

 

The Department of Livestock Production Management was established in October, 2009 and is engaged in teaching, research and extension activities. The department is involved in teaching of B.V.Sc & A.H. courses. The department imparts practical training in the management and care of various species of domestic, pet and zoo animals and management of dairy and poultry farms.

Research activity:

1.Characterization of indigenous cattle breed of Tripura.
2.Conservation of Indigenous cattle under Rashtriya Gokul Mission (RGM).
3.Adoption of 10 nos of village (Gokul Gram) under Rashtriya Gokul Mission (RGM).
