Salient features about the department :

The Department of Veterinary Medicine is engaged in teaching, research and extension activities. The department is involved in teaching of B.V.Sc. & A.H. Veterinary Medicine courses to the students, conduction of Animal Health Cum Vaccination Camps, Attending ambulatory clinics on regular basis, attending clinic in TVCC and imparting training as and when required, Regular visit to Sepahijala Zoo as an Expert and impart training to students for clinical and laboratory evaluation and interpretation of clinical samples leading to definitive diagnosis. Imparting training to the Field veterinarians under Continuous Veterinary Education Programme.
