Teaching Veterinary Clinical Complex

Salient Features of the TVCC:

TVCC is an important unit under the C.V.Sc. & A.H., R.K. Nagar, West Tripura comprising of Medicine, Surgery, Gynecology, Diagnostic and Ambulatory section. The department is providing hands on training to the UG students as per VCI-MSVE-2016 guidelines in diagnosis and treatments and allied public services. The facility of emergency service and the necessary facilities to conduct and demonstrate/train all medical, surgical & gynecological cases are available. Diagnostic Laboratory section is an important component of TVCC that impart training to students for laboratory evaluation and interpretation of clinical samples leading to definitive diagnosis of diseases. Ambulatory section is operated by small groups of students and faculty of clinical departments through an equipped ambulatory mobile Vehicle for handling, examination, diagnosis and treatment of sick animals in the field conditions under the supervision of faculty.

Research Activity:

1.“Molecular detection of tick-borne haemoprotozoan parasites and identification of its vector tick in cattle in Tripura” funded by DST, GOI with financial budget of 25 lakh. PI-Dr. Mritunjay Kumar.
2.“To study efficacy of Keetguard Liquid (herbal ectoparasiticidal & fly repellent) in clinical cases of ectoparasitic infestation in ruminants” funded by Ayurvet, Solan with a financial budget of 50,600/-. PI-Dr. Mritunjay Kumar.
